- INDO-US Emergency Medicine Summit (2010):
The 6th Annual INDO-US Emergency Medicine Summit will be held at Medical College and SSG Hospital Vadodara, Gujarat from 6th October to 10th October 2010. Over 10 Skills Training Programs have been carefully designed for eager trainees attending the Summit. The Summit is a melting pot for joint conferences on disaster medicine, toxicology, trauma care, emergency nursing, acute transportation and emergency care. Curriculum will comprise of didactic lectures, skill building workshops, academic leadership forums and student career and education programs along with rewarding academic competitions with prizes over 1,00,000 rupees. With the recognition of Emergency Medicine as an independent specialty the doors have opened for medical colleges to pursue initiatives to create free standing academic departments of Emergency Medicine which can house post graduate residency training programs in Emergency Medicine in Indian MCI Recognized Medical Colleges. The inaugural 2010 Faculty Development Program will help Interested MCI Recognized Faculty Grasp the Body of Knowledge of Emergency Medicine so that they make Firm Start as Pioneers of a New Specialty when they Train their new Residents at their maiden emergency medicine academic residency programs at their MCI recognized medical colleges. - Emergency Medicine Practices, Advances and Clinical Therapeutics in INDIA (EMPACT-INDIA)
EMPACT is the Four day Intensive 40 Hour Training Program offered by an All American Emergency Medicine Board Certified Training Crew at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi on 17th, 18th, 19th and 20th June 2010. EMPACT will Review the Complete Body of Knowledge in Emergency Medicine. It is being offered primarily to Currently Employed MCI Recognized Training Faculty at Indian Medical Colleges from Disciplines of Medicine, Surgery, Pediatrics, Anesthesiology, Orthopedics, Family Medicine, Obstetrics and Gynecology. It is also open to Residents in Training and Students in Internship. Practicing doctors are welcome to attend EMPACT subject to availability.
